a site re-org
over the years i have gone through many website re-orgs. at first i went flashy, and then i went minimal, and then i went to a landing page "index of links", and the cycle continues.
more and more i want to be able to unite my various creative outputs into one place, and so i'm re-shuffling this site to do just that. nothing fancy—only text and images, bundled by eleventy for speed and ease of creating posts.
i was inspired by mandy brown's post about the POSSE model (publish on your site, syndicate elsewhere) and am considering bootstrapping my own model of this. this site is a step in that direction—bare bones, powered by markdown, black and white. i spend enough time battling with code for my job and i don't feel like doing it here.
i have a few consistent streams of work which will appear on this site:
- data visualization and design, many of which end up on this website showcasing past projects
- data sonification and electronic music as st. silva
- some blend of new media / coding / visuals and sound
most of my creative output over the past year has been musical under my electronic moniker "st. silva". you can read about that on my st. silva website.
